Attendance Mentoring for MATs and Local Authorities
Mentorship support across England
Structured support to combat the national pupil attendance challenge.
Since 2024, Etio has been working on behalf of the Department for Education in delivering the crucial national Attendance Mentoring programme across 10 regions in response to the national pupil attendance challenge.
Persistent and severe absence from school is having a huge impact on the education and life outcomes of young people across the UK. Absence rates are too high, and we want to provide structured support to get young people back into the classroom.
It is our mission to apply the successful methodology and experience gained from this programme to provide mentorship support to persistently absent secondary school students throughout England.
Djanogly City Academy's Attendance Manager, Kim Swann, explains how Etio's Attendance Mentoring is helping the school address their specific challenges, and what it means for those young people taking part.
